Aside from Tonkichi, this place is also a good alternative to have some tonkatsu. I think there are branches all over hong kong and all over the world. If I am not mistaken, I think its opening in Glorietta 2 soon, which means no need to go to Megamall to get your tonkatsu fix at Yabu.

I had such high expectations from this place because I see it all over Facebook and Instagram saying its so good. We ordered several items on the menu just to try. The original recipe ramen, the gyoza and the famous pork buns. The ramen was fine but I thin it was nothing super, while the gyoza was really just a tiny version of any other gyoza, and the pork buns had mayo as the sauce plus it was also so tiny. So honestly i don’t know why people rave about it. It also takes quite a while to get a table, we actually waited for around 45 mins to an hour. I so wouldn’t go back to this place since there are so much other good places to eat in Hongkong!

My newest discovery! I enjoyed every bite of what I ordered. Everything was fresh and newly made. One of the tell tale signs of old sushi is if they use old seaweed. This one was really new and crispy. Nothing from the revolving sushi bar appealed to me so I ordered everything from the menu. Next time I go there, I want to try the soft shell crab temaki and the foie gras sushi!
Definitely coming back for this!

New location in Hong Kong Station. It takes only 15 mins to wait for a table since i think the table capacity is bigger than the one of Mongkok. The secret would also be to go around 10 or 11 in the morning since it opens at 9am. Every time i go to HK, its a must to have their pork buns even just for merienda!

This place is nice and hip for newly married couples or even to those couples who aren’t married yet. Located on top of Elements mall and Kowloon Airport Express station, location was also superb since you’re near the Ocean Terminal Area but not close enough to feel the crowd especially on weekend. Loved that when you go down, its already the mall with everything you need.

This is the best dimsum place i’ve been to in Hong Kong. We usually go on sunday brunch so there usually is a line. But since the food comes so fast and the place is so big the wait is around 30 mins only as long as you go a bit early like 11:30am. Just order the usual, they also come in carts so you can just choose from it. What i love ordering though is their noodles cooked in soy, i can’t seem to remember what its called but its thin noodles cooked in soy which they serve with their version of bagoong.

I suggest you take a cab going here. This is a seafood lover’s paradise. You choose fresh seafood from the market outside and then you can choose the restaurant that will cook it for you. We chose this one, but I’m pretty sure that most of them cook them the same way. Don’t forget to dip the fried bread in the cheese sauce of the lobster!!!

A great twist to my eggs benny would be the lobster benedict. I think this is the only place I know that serves it. Instead of using salmon for a ham substitute they used lobster. Loved their home made scones with clotted cream and jam.
