Ah Yat Harbour View

A michelin star rated restaurant with the view of the hong kong skyline from the 29th floor is just great for a perfect dinner out. We were a group of 4, all of whom were all carnivores, so we ordered roast goose and peking duck. I thought the roast goose was much better than Yun Kee and the peking duck had a twist to it, despite the skin being very crispy they gave us red peppers to wrap with the peking duck, i wasn’t sure at first since I don’t like spicy food but this one wasn’t even spicy, it just gave it a certain “oomph” to it. Loved this place, will definitely be back.

p.s. make sure to reserve if you plan on eating there.

If you love peking duck, this place has perfected it. We usually order 2 ways only - first way would be the usual way where you wrap the skin and meat with hoisin sauce and the second way would be where you fry the bones with salt and pepper and eat it with vinegar. They’re also one of the few high end places where you can have dimsum during dinner and not just lunch time.

Make sure to order sweet and sour pork also, theirs is pretty good too. If you do come here, be sure you’re ready to eat all the cholesterol because basically, only the veggies are healthy!

My favorite dimsum place in town. It never fails to satisfy. They also have the dimsum plus promo for lunch from Monday to Saturday where you can order unlimited dimsum per piece and it comes with one main course, one rice or noodle dish, and one dessert for only 1,000++. Worth every penny and worth every calorie.

The chinese restaurant in the hotel was really really good. We ate almost all our meals there except one. Especially the baked stuff, they bake it fresh so you have to wait for about 10-15 minutes. Its definitely worth the wait.

They also have a specialty of hainan chicken but we weren’t able to taste it because when we would order it would always be finished already for the day. Apparently people would order it in the morning so it would get out of stock for the whole day already.

Its been more than 15 years since my sister has been living in New York. It was the first time last year since she moved that she was able to join our family in Hong Kong but this time it was to celebrate her birthday. Since my brother goes to Hong Kong regularly, he chose this restaurant for her birthday dinner.

You must try the chicken with black bean sauce and the char siew which melts in your mouth. You should also put the black bean sauce in your rice, its the perfect combination.

For dessert, we pre-ordered almond buns when we got there since it takes a while to do it. Its definitely a must try especially if you like almonds.

It was my first time to try this restaurant but I’d like to go back and try their dimsum as well.
